Quick recipe for young cabbage with minced meat

Ingredients
for the minced meat base:

700g minced meat
1 large onion, diced
2 medium carrots, grated
1 medium tomato, diced (or 2 tbsp tomato paste)
2-3 fresh garlic cloves, finely chopped
2 tbsp vegetable oil
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
1 tsp sweet paprika
1 tsp Chmeli-Suneli spice mix
For the cabbage:

700 g young white cabbage, cut into leaves or “flowers”
1 liter of water
1 tbsp salt for blanching
Step-by-step instructions
for preparing the minced meat mixture

Step 1: Sauté the vegetables. Heat
vegetable oil in a deep skillet or heavy-bottomed pot over medium-high heat. Add the onions and grated carrots and sauté for 5–7 minutes, until the onions are translucent and the carrots are slightly softened.

Step 2: Fry the minced meat

Add the ground meat and cook uncovered, stirring frequently, breaking up any lumps. Cook for about 10 minutes, until the meat changes color and some liquid begins to release.
