Patty Melt Casserole

Cook the Ground Beef:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat and set the beef aside.
Sauté the Onions:

In the same skillet, add olive oil and sliced onions. Sauté until the onions are soft and caramelized, about 10-12 minutes. Set aside.
Assemble the Casserole:

In the prepared baking dish, layer half of the cubed rye bread.
Spread the cooked ground beef evenly over the bread layer, followed by the caramelized onions.
Sprinkle the shredded Swiss and cheddar cheese evenly over the onions.
Make the Egg Mixture:

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Pour the egg mixture over the layered ingredients in the casserole dish.
Top with the remaining rye bread cubes and drizzle melted butter over the top.
Bake:

Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the top is golden and the casserole is set.
Serve:

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
