Crispy Chicken Caesar Salad on a Croissant

Prepare the Crispy Chicken:

In a bowl, soak the chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes to tenderize.
In another bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, letting excess drip off, and dredge in the seasoned flour mixture, coating well.
Fry the chicken in the hot oil for 6-8 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Make the Caesar Salad:

In a large bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, Caesar dressing, grated Parmesan cheese, and croutons. Toss gently until the lettuce is well coated.
Assemble the Croissants:

Slice the croissants in half horizontally.
Place a generous portion of the Caesar salad on the bottom half of each croissant.
Slice the crispy chicken into strips and place on top of the salad.
Sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese and freshly cracked black pepper.
Serve:

Top with the other half of the croissant and serve with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing.
