Cheesy Salisbury Steak Meatballs

Prepare the Meatballs:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Take about 2 tablespoons of the meat mixture and flatten it in your palm. Place a tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese in the center and fold the meat around it, shaping it into a ball. Repeat with the remaining mixture and cheese.

Cook the Meatballs:

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs to the skillet, cooking in batches if necessary. Sear the meatballs on all sides until browned (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Gravy:

In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and cook until softened (about 3-4 minutes). Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer.

In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Add this to the gravy, stirring until it thickens (about 2-3 minutes). Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combine:

Return the meatballs to the skillet, spooning the gravy over them. Cover and simmer for an additional 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Serve:

Serve the cheesy Salisbury steak meatballs over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles, garnished with fresh parsley.
